Effective Communication & Interaction With People With Disabilities

Join us for free training on effective communication and interaction with people with disabilities
Monday, June 28, 2010 @ 2:45-3:45pm
This training is tailored to agency personnel and includes:
- Myths and realities
- Suggestions to improve positive interactions and decrease common missteps
- Appropriate and effective communication with people who have visual, hearing, cognitive, mobility, and hidden disabilities
- Appropriate interaction with people who use assistive devices for mobility, vision and hearing
- Local state and national resource/supports (handouts will be provided)
- This interactive training will include time for questions
Experienced trainers are from The Center for Persons with Disabilities at Utah State University, Human Capabilites, and the Division of Services to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
